The Searcy Ward 2 Election Results

For election for Ward 2 Position 1, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports the following 2010 election results:

• Alderman Jim Dixon - 1063 votes (52.65%)
• Dan Hodges - 956 votes (47.35%)

For the Ward 2 Position 2 race, the Democrat-Gazette reports the following results:

• Alderman Steve Sterling - 997 votes (50.1%)
• Robert Allen - 661 votes (33.22%)
• David Philpott - 332 votes (16.68%)

Had Alderman Sterling not received more than 50 percent of the vote, he would have faced a runoff with Robert Allen.

We hope that over the next two years Aldermen Jim Dixon and Steve Sterling will listen to the voters in Ward 2 and represent us rather than a mayor's agenda or special interest groups.
